Sarah Nelson-Hogan Obituary
Celebration of Life for Ms. Sarah Frances Nelson-Hogan, 72, of Milledgeville will be held on Friday, March 6, 2020, at Oak Grove Baptist Church, 508 Ga. Highway 49 West Milledgeville. Services will begin at 1 p.m. with the interment being private. Remains will lie in state at noon until the service hour. Sarah was called home to rest on Tuesday, March 3, 2020, at her residence.
She was a devoted and faithful member of Oak Grove Baptist Church for the past 35 years. She served as the church secretary, a former choir member and on the Pastor's Aide Committee. Sarah was preceded in death by her parents, Johnny Davis and Leila Mae Nelson.
Her memory will live on in the hearts of her family, one son, Donald Ward; brothers, Frank (Bessie) Nelson, John (Lynn) Mundie and Johnny (Mary) Mundie all of Milledgeville; her devoted niece, Geneva (Raymond) Braziel of Milledgeville; devoted nephews, Frank (Brenda) Nelson of Gray and Teon (Ruth) Nelson of Milledgeville; devoted friends, Betty Williams, Carolyn Barnes, Rosie Solomon and Belinda Andrews and a host of other family and friends.
