Milledgeville, Georgia - "Coach" Sandy Knox III, 70, of Milledgeville, passed away Saturday, June 29, 2024.

A Celebration of Life for Sandy Knox III will be conducted Wednesday, July 10, 2024, at 1 p.m. in the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses located at 110 O'Conner Drive in Milledgeville, Georgia.

The interment will be private. A repast will follow at Parker's Events Center in Milledgeville.

A native of Milledgeville, Sandy was born June 28, 1954 to the late Sandy Knox Jr. and the late Gladys Eloise Butts Knox. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by his brothers, Stevie Knox and Avery Knox, and by a nephew, Nelson Glynn. Sandy is survived by his wife, Marilyn Finney Knox of Milledgeville; his daughters, Alexis Voné Knox (Adolphus) Collazo of Jackson, and Candace Alexandria Knox of Milledgeville; his sisters, Doris Wilson of Milledgeville and Connie Hall of Milledgeville; his granddaughter, Evan Araceli Collazo of Jackson; his sister-in-law, Robena (Robert) LaPointe; and his brother-in-law, Linnes (Sonyá) Finney; his nieces, Lakesha Knox, Quateese (Larry) Gunthrop, Tulonni Knox and Chase Finney; his nephews, Kodie (Briana) Hall and Clayton Finney; great nieces, Lakya (Brandon) McClean, Sumeria King, Kourtnee Knox and Londyn Thomas; his great nephews, Kamicaus King, Kodie Hall Jr., Kelan Hall and Miles Gunthrop; great great niece, Kamyla King; his aunts, Gertrude Knox and Mattie Johnson; and his uncle, Hardy Lee (Lillie) Knox.
