Sandra  Tanner
Sandra Jean Roberson Tanner, 75, passed away Saturday, Jan. 11, 2020. Services will be held at noon, Wednesday, Jan. 15, at the chapel of Moores Funeral Home with Dr. Jerry Pickard officiating. Burial will be private.
Mrs. Tanner was a life-long resident of Milledgeville. She worked in the admissions department at Central State Hospital and later with the Georgia Department of Corrections until her retirement. She was preceded in death by her parents, James Ennis Roberson and Evelyn Claire Dunn Roberson; two brothers, Jerry Douglas Roberson Jr. and James Ennis "Robbie" Roberson Jr. She was a member of Northside Baptist Church. She cherished her Christian faith, her love of God, and her belief in salvation.
Survivors include her husband, Twiggs Tanner of Milledgeville; two sons, Dan G. "Chip" Hutchins (Lisa) of New Bern, N.C. and James Gregory "Greg" Hutchins (Lainya) of Bowdon, Ga; two stepsons, Wesley Tanner of Decatur and Jamie Tanner (Loribeth) of Dallas, Texas; two brothers, Ray Roberson (June) of Linton and Glen Roberson of Milledgeville; two sisters, Donna Lettang and Virginia Simmons both of Milledgeville; seven grandchildren and a number of nieces and nephews also survive.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 11 a.m. until the service hour at noon at Moores Funeral Home.
Friends who wish may make memorial contributions to Northside Baptist Church Building Fund.
