Mary Hubert, 89, died Sunday, Aug. 5, 2018. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 8, 2018, at Elam Baptist Church with the Rev. Gary Thomas officiating. Burial will follow at Elam Memorial Gardens. The family will greet friends Tuesday from 6 to 8 p.m., at Hart's, Jones County Chapel.

Mrs. Hubert was an active member of Elam Baptist Church. She retired from the Social Security Administration after 37 years of service. She loved to travel, especially to the beach and mountains. Her hobbies included square dancing, crocheting and enjoying her grandchildren.

Mrs. Hubert is survived by her husband, Melvin H. Hubert of Gray; children, Cynthia Garrett (Wayne) of Gray, Brenda U. Haun of Marietta, Ronnie Ussery of Roswell, and Melody James (Frank) of Brooks, Ga.; stepchildren, Melvin Hubert Jr., Dan Hubert and Terri Batson; eight grandchildren, Misty Haskins (Charlton), Kiley Bosworth (Wayne), Stephanie Badibanga (Ignance), Nicholas Haun, Ryan Ussery (Alanna), Derek Ussery, Robbie James and Tori James; eight great-grandchildren; and 17 step-grandchildren and step-great-grandchildren. Mrs. Hubert is predeceased by her grandchild, Ashley Garrett; stepchild, Russell Hubert; sisters, Gladys Harvey and Evelyn Massey; and brother, Willard Hooks.
