Graveside services for Mrs. Mary Julia Green, 93, of Milledgeville, will be held privately for immediate family only on Friday, April 17, 2020, at Bone Cemetery in Milledgeville.
Mrs. Green made her transition from this earthly life to her heavenly home on Sunday, April 12, 2020, surrounded by her family at her residence. She was a faithful member of St. Mary Missionary Baptist Church for 50-plus years where she served as a missionary, mother of the church and a deaconess. Mary was preceded in death by her husband, Deacon Roy Green; sons, Charlie Green, Earnest Green and Melvin Green.
She leaves heartfelt memories with her children, daughters, Gladys G. (devoted son-in-law, Jerome) Grable, Jessie M.G. - Justice, Dorothy A.G.(Michael) Greggs; sons, Leroy Green, Wesley E. Green, Calvin Green and Tyrone Green; devoted granddaughter, Latoshia R. Green; devoted cousin/friend, Beatrice Henry; devoted cousin, Lillie Shinholster; devoted friends, Hazel Hargrove, Carmel Dupree, Euradine Finney, Nina Evans, Eva Mae Willis, Alma Finney, Ida Wells, Clara Davis, Bessie Lewis, Betty Jackson, Mildred Little and Kidda Simmons, Gladys Ward, Mattie Perry; devoted neighbors, Yvonne and Angela Pitts; and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
