Martha Grimes, 83, passed away Monday, May 7, 2018. A memorial service will be held at Hart's at the Cupola, 6324 Peake Road, Macon, on Wednesday, May 9 at 2 p.m. with the Rev. Chip Strickland officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the service.

Mrs. Grimes was preceded in death by her loving husband, Ray Grimes, in 1997, her precious and cherished mother, Inez Lanier, her closest friend and dear sister, Dean Trapnell, her brother, Bill Wilson, and father, W.A. Wilson. She is survived by her devoted children - son, Denny Grimes of Macon, daughter, Renee Mosley (William) of Milledgeville, and daughter, Wende Laurin (Allan) of Suwanee. Her grandchildren, who could not have been loved more or made her any happier, are Will Mosley, Ray Mosley (Lynsey), Cole Rogers, Laney Rogers, Anna Rogers, Ryann Laurin and Brett Laurin.

Mrs. Grimes was a member of Riverside United Methodist Church for many years and was a faithful participant of Woodruff Sunday School class. Her devoted longtime friends were many and from all walks of her life. Over the years they watched her raise her family, become the happiest grandmother and lose her husband to cancer, and they were always there by her side to help in their own way. She knew she was blessed and never forgot to thank God for ones so dear.
