Martha Brown

Martha Ann McCluney Brown, 73, of Gordon, passed away Wednesday, Aug. 28, 2024. A Celebration of Life for Martha Brown will be conducted Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2024, at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home. The family will receive friends at the Williams Funeral Home and Crematory of Milledgeville on Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2024, from 10 a.m. until the service hour.

A native of Milledgeville, Martha was born on Nov. 9, 1950, to the late Denson Herbert McCluney and the late Ophelia Day McCluney. In addition to her parents, she was also preceded in death by her husband, Garland J. Brown, and by three of her brothers, Frank McCluney, Dudley McCluney and Chris McCluney. A caregiver at heart, Martha was family-oriented and she loved and cared for her family. She was a member of the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses.

Martha is survived by her sons, Robert Lee (Karen) Brown of Gordon, and Brandon Corey (Breanna) Brown of Milledgeville; her sister, Sara (Gene) Rhyne; her brother, Joseph (Joann) McCluney; three grandchildren, Dakota Smith, Kevin Brown and Dylan Brown; and by four great grandchildren.
