Linda Marie Holland Pickle, 80, passed away peacefully in her sleep, leaving behind a legacy of love, faith and cherished memories.
Born to Evelyn and Thomas Ellis Holland, Linda lived a life devoted to her family, friends and community. She was preceded in death by her husband William Harold Pickle Sr. Funeral services were held Monday, Jan. 20, 2025 at 2 p.m. at Rocky Point Baptist Church with Bro. Tim Tolleson officiating. Visitation was from noon until 2 p.m. on Monday at the church. The
burial will follow in Rocky Point Cemetery.
Linda was the beloved mother of three children: Malinda Leigh Watkins, William Harold Pickle Jr. and Ellis Holland Pickle. She was also the proud grandmother to Jessi, Matthew, Brooklynn, Austin, Brendan, Christopher, Harmony, Jay, Christian, Nevaeh and the great grandmother of Emma, Lucas, and Lydia, all of whom she adored. Her family extended
further with two cherished sons-in-law, Chris Watkins and Charles Figgemeier; one beloved daughter-in-law, Melinda Pickle; Cliff and Breanna Pickle, and kids Row, Ben and Cal and many others whose lives she touched deeply.
Linda is also survived by her loving sister, Wayla Jean Myers; her brother-in-law, Kenny Myers; niece Cindy Adams and nephews Andy Woods and Randy Woods, along with their families, all of whom brought her joy and love throughout her life.
Known for her extraordinary cooking, Linda had a gift for bringing people together around the table, creating moments filled with laughter, warmth and unforgettable meals. Her heart was as big as her personality and her candid, no-nonsense attitude was loved and respected by all who knew her.
Linda retired from the Leake County School District after years of dedication and service. She was a devoted member of Rocky Point Baptist Church, where her faith remained a cornerstone of her life.
Pallbearers were Stacey Burkes, Mark Sullivan, Josh Mann, Casey Burns, Matthew Letchworth and Austin Letchworth.
Honorary pallbearers were Brendon Letchworth, Christopher Letchworth and Cliff Pickle.
