Celebration of Life for Mrs. Lillie Mae Essley of Milledgeville will be held Tuesday, March 12, 2019, at 11 a.m. at Flipper Chapel A.M.E. Church, 136 Wolverine St. SE, Milledgeville. Remains will lie in state at 10 a.m. until the service hour. The interment will follow at Scenic Memorial Gardens. Lillie traded time for eternity on Monday, March 4, 2019. She moved back to Milledgeville in 1986 from Cleveland, Ohio after spending a number of years there. Upon her return to Milledgeville, she joined Flipper Chapel A.M.E. Church serving with the Missionary Society. Lillie leaves an abundance of loved cherished in the hearts of her nieces, Angela Mallory, Allison Butts; nephews, Nathan (Bernice Simmons) Butts, Stan Yolondo (Shirley) Brown, Shannon (Jechel) Waller; and a host of other nieces, nephews, cousins, family and friends.
