Milledgeville, Ga - Kevin Blackwelder passed peacefully on Jan. 19, 2026, following a brief illness.
He was preceded in death by his father, Artis Blackwelder, and his brother, Richard Eugene Blackwelder.
He is survived by his loving mother, Doris Johns Blackwelder; his wife, Michele Blackwelder; and his daughters, Lyndsey Lavender (Dana), Alexys Blackwelder and Summer Ellis. He is also survived by his sisters, Trudy Price (David) and Lori Slaven (Michael); his brothers, Alan Blackwelder, Timothy Blackwelder (Suzanne), and Harold Menefee (Angel); and his cherished grandchildren, Charleigh Suggs, Dailynn Lavender, Dayton Lavender, Wylder Lavender, Shane Markley Jr., and Madelyn Blackwelder. He is further survived by numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.
Kevin was a hardworking man with a kind heart and a great sense of humor. He was a loving father and grandfather who took pride in his family.
A memorial service will be held on Feb. 1, 2026, at 1 p.m. at Paran Baptist Church in Grandin, Florida.
