Milledgeville, Georgia - Kathleen Busha Stewart, 81, passed away Monday, Sept. 9, 2024. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 12 at the chapel of Moores Funeral Home. Burial will be at Baldwin Memorial Gardens Cemetery.

Mrs. Stewart was born in Worcester, Massachusetts on March 1, 1943, to the late Clifton Busha and Bettymay Stone Busha. She had made her home in Milledgeville since 1970 and volunteered with the Salvation Army for over 15 years. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willie Edsel Stewart.

Survivors include two daughters, Tina Strickland (CL) and Brenda Stewart both of Milledgeville; a brother, Roland Busha of Milledgeville, two grandchildren, William Brandon Cook and Ashley Aline Kurtz (Drew); three great grandchildren, Michael Leo Kurtz, Eli Jameson Kurtz and Adelyn Mae Kurtz; special friends, Susan Pierce, Marcilla McCormick and Janice Daniels. A number of nieces and nephews also survive.

The family would like to give a special thank you to the staff at Savannah Court.

The family will receive friends Thursday from 10:30 until 11 a.m. at Moores Funeral Home.
