Julian  Ethridge Jr.
Julian Edward Ethridge, Jr., 82, passed away Tuesday, Nov. 26, 2019. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Dec. 3 at Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery with the Rev. John Stanley officiating.
Mr. Ethridge was born and raised in Coopers, Georgia. After 30 years of serving his country from posts all over the world, he retired from the United States Air Force achieving the rank of a Sr. Master Sgt. After their retirement, he and the love of his life Barbara Mae Mullins Ethridge, returned to Coopers. He and Barbara lived on their family farm raising cattle and vegetables, plus his favorite hobby - collecting rust! Along with his wife he was preceded in death by his parents, Fannie Lee Layfield and Julian Edward Ethridge, and several brothers and a sister.
Survivors include two sons, Jeff Ethridge (Patti) of Simpsonville, South Carolina and Carl Ethridge (Kelley) of Notasulga, Alabama; three brothers, James (Shirley) Etheridge, Lamar (Brenda) Etheridge and John Etheridge; four grandchildren, Noah, Jessica, Jennifer, and Sarah along with several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 10 a.m. until 11 a.m. at Moores Funeral Home.
In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the Wounded Warrior Project, P.O. Box 758516, Topeka, Kansas 66675-8516.
Moores Funeral Home & Crematory has charge of arrangements.
