Milledgeville - John "Jack" Stickline, 83, passed away peacefully in his sleep on June 26, 2026. Mr. Stickline was a native of Baltimore, MD, and had made his home on Lake Sinclair in Eatonton since 1999.

He was predeceased by his parents, Clement and Elizabeth (nee Hartley), and brothers Richard (Dunk) and C. Dennis (Denny).

He is survived by his wife of 62 years, Carole (nee Kenney), and daughters Susan Blankenship and Beth Ann, favorite son in-law Shane, and favorite grandson, Aidan.

He is also survived by his brother, Clement, and sisters Jean Cuddington (twin to Jack), Sharon (Larry) Owens, and Moira Reinhardt, one surviving aunt, Rose Hartley Stedman, as well as multiple nieces and nephews, cousins and extended family.

Mr. Stickline was a proud Navy veteran, having served on multiple ships from 1960 to 1964. He continued with his civic commitment as he worked as a police officer for the Baltimore County

Police Department from 1964-1966. He then worked for Western Electric, which became AT&T and then Lucent Technologies, retiring in 1999 after 32 years.

He was a member of the Milledgeville Newcomers Club for many years, serving as an officer. He loved fishing and hunting and played tennis in the Atlanta Lawn Tennis Association for many years. After retirement, his favorite pastime was spending time on his boat with his First Mate Carole and family.

Funeral services will be private.
