Mr. Jerry Grady Davis, Sr., 74, of Ellington Road, Hiawassee, Georgia, passed away peacefully Saturday July 27, 2024, at his home following an extended illness.
Mr. Davis was born on May 7, 1950, in Washington County, Georgia, the son of the late Joe Brown Davis and the late Mary Francis Johnson Davis. Jerry was raised in Sandersville, Georgia but has lived in Hiawassee for the last 34 years. He was a Vietnam-era veteran. After retiring from surveying with Patterson & Dewar Inc., Jerry continued with his passion of being a mechanic and opened his own small engine repair shop which he operated for years. Mr. Davis is preceded in death by his parents, a son, Jerry Davis, Jr., and father-in-law, Buster Yarbrough. Jerry was of the Methodist faith.
Surviving Mr. Davis are his loving wife and best friend of 38 years, Patsy Yarbrough Davis of Hiawassee, Georgia; three sons, Jason (Katina) Davis of Macon, Georgia, Matthew (Krystal) Davis of Hiawassee, Georgia, Joey (Tasha) Davis of Hiawassee, Georgia; nine grandchildren, Ashton, Hunter, Tristan, Connor, Makayla, Dakota, Mason, Katie, Madison; his mother-in-law, Mary Jane Johnson Yarbrough; and many other relatives and friends also survive.
Per Mr. Davis's wishes, no services are planned at this time.
