Heliar  Crockett Jr.
Heliar Allen Crockett, Jr., 78, of Lake Sinclair, passed away Sunday, Oct. 6, 2019. A native of Rogersville, Tenn., he was the son of the late Heliar Allen Crockett Sr. and the late Nell Louise Jones Crockett. Heliar was a veteran, having served in the U.S. Navy. He and his wife, Frances, moved to Lake Sinclair in 1994, and were the owners/operators of Crockett's Cafeteria since the mid 1990s.
He is survived by: his wife, Frances Crockett of Eatonton; two sons, Shawn Crockett of Dacula and Pletz (Nicole) Crockett of St. Mary's; grandchildren, Christopher Lee Crockett, Brianna Crockett, Meiabella Crockett, Breyanna Logel, Byron McCary and Blake Kirby; a nephew, Tommy Lee Melvin; and his mother-in-law, Minnie Rogers of Eatonton.
Funeral services for Heliar Crockett Jr. will be conducted Thursday, Oct. 10, 2019, at 2:30 p.m. in the chapel of the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery in Milledgeville.
In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that memorial contributions be made to the Georgia War Veterans Home Activity Fund, 2249 Vinson Highway, Milledgeville, GA 31061.
