Fannie Mae Walker-Evans Obituary

Services Celebrating the Life of Mrs. Fannie Mae Walker-Evans, formerly of Yatesville, Ga., will be held Saturday, May 18, 2019, commencing at 1 p.m. at Victory Baptist Church, 640 Meriwether Road, Milledgeville. Remains will lie in state at noon at the church. The interment will follow at Heritage Memorial Park.

Fannie was called home to eternal rest on Friday, May 10, 2019, surrounded by her loving family. She was a former member of Pine Grove Baptist Church in Yatesville, Ga. After moving to Milledgeville in 1992, she joined Elbethel Baptist Church serving on the Mother's Board and was a choir member.

She leaves to cherish her memory, yet mourning her departure, daughters, Vanessa Evans Walker and son-in-law, W. Edward Walker Jr. of Milledgeville; spiritual daughters, Essie Lowder and Deborah Milner; special cousins and brothers, Charles (Carolyn) Bentley, Lynn (Sallie Ann) Bentley of Jacksonville, Fla.; uncle, Curtis Bentley of Chicago, Ill.; grandson, Kyle Walker; granddaughters, Brenda Harris, Melinda Byrd of Thomaston, Ga.; devoted nieces, nephews and caregivers, Mary and Thomas Powers, Kechia Hardeman, Alfred and Debra McCrary, all of Atlanta, and a host of other family and friends.
