Emma  Mosley
Ms. Emma Jean Mosley, of 201 Joshua Ave., S.W. Milledgeville, passed away Friday, Sept. 21, 2018, at a local hospital. Services will be held Wednesday, Sept. 26, 2018, at Flagg Chapel Baptist Church, 400 W. Franklin St., Milledgeville, with public viewing and visitation from 4:30 to 5:30 p.m.
Commemoration services will follow after Delta final rights with words of comfort by Pastor Omer M. Reid.
Thursday, Sept. 27, 2018, at noon. Committal services will be held at Gordy Grove Church of God in Christ, Sandersville.
Interment will be in Gordy Grove Church Cemetery with Pastor Emery Austin officiating.
Emma Jean Mosley was a 1968 graduate of J.F. Boddie High School and received a B.S. degree in 1972 from Savannah State College in social work. She was a member of Delta Sigma Theta sorority. Ms. Mosley was the founder and coordinator of the Miss Black Milledgeville Pageant, Inc. She was also retired from the Department of Family and Children Services.
She will always be cherished by her devoted brothers, Mr. Oreather Mosley, Mr. Marvin (Pearline) Mosley, and J.W. Mosley, all of Milledgeville.
Services are entrusted to Ingram Brothers Funeral Home, 249 Spring St., Sparta.
