Celebration of Life for Mrs. Dolly Lee Evans-Benford of Milledgeville, will be held on Friday, Oct. 4, 2019, at 10 a.m. at The Chapel of All Faiths 252 Swint Avenue Milledgeville. Remains will lie in state at 9 a.m. until the service hour. The interment will follow at the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
Mrs. Benford made her transition to eternal life on Friday, Sept. 27, 2019, at her residence surrounded by her loving family. She loved gardening and caring for flowers as a pastime. Dolly retired from Central State Hospital after years of dedicated service.She was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Benford Sr. and son, Reggie Benford.
Mourning her departure, yet cherishing the many beautiful memories are her children, Deloris Morris, Brenda Benford-Thomas of Milledgeville; Robert (Cynthia) Benford Jr. of Gray; and Eric (Keli) Benford of Warner Robins; two sisters, Margaret Anderson and Inez Fordham of Dublin; 14 grandchildren, a host of great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild and a host of nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
