Milledgeville - Carol Duncan McMillan, 74, passed away Wednesday, May 28, 2025. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 31, at First Baptist Church with the Rev. Dr. Gary Abbott and the Rev. Dr. Jeff Morgan officiating. Burial will follow at Memory Hill Cemetery.

Ms. McMillan was born Dec. 9, 1950, to the late Talmadge William Duncan and Mattie Belle Jones Duncan. She attended Georgia College and received her B.A. in education and her Master's Degree in special education. Ms. McMillan taught at Harrisburg School and worked with the Boy Scouts for many years. Ms. McMillan was preceded in death by her husband, Joseph Marquette McMillan Sr. She was a member of First Baptist Church and worked with the WMU and served on the Bereavement Committee.

Survivors include two sons, Joseph "Jody" Marquette McMillan Jr. (Stephanie) and James Duncan McMillan (Sarah Beth) both of Milledgeville; grandchildren, Joseph Marquette McMillan III, Jacob Kirk McMillan, Anna Caroline McMillan, James Duncan "J.D." McMillan Jr. and Madeline Elizabeth McMillan.

The family will receive family and friends Saturday from 1 until 2 p.m. at First Baptist Church.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Baldwin High School Band in Memory of Carol McMillan, 155 Hwy 49 W. Milledgeville, GA 31061.
