Funeral services for Mrs. Bernice Levester will be 11AM Tuesday September 27, 2016 at Union Baptist Church, 240 MLK Jr Dr. Eatonton with Rev. Johnny Harris, pastor, eulogist. Burial will follow in Baldwin Memorial Garden, in Baldwin County.

Bernice Levester was born April 17, 1925 to the parentage of Clayton Stevens and Alice Stevens in Clinton, South Carolina. She graduated from Bell Street High School in Clinton, South Carolina and she graduated from Apex College of Cosmetology in Washington, D.C. She served many years as a substitute teacher in the Putnam County School system.

On February 17, 1946, Willie Levester and Bernice Stevens were united in marriage. They are the parents of three daughters, Frezalia, Gwendolyn, and Jocelyn. Mrs. Levester loved the girls dearly and was so proud of what God had imparted in their lives!

She joined Hebron Baptist Church early in life and later joined Union Baptist Church. She was a faithful and God fearing woman and worked steadfastly in the church until her illness.

Cherishing her memories are her three devoted daughters, Ms. Gwendolyn Levester of Eatonton, Ga; Mrs. Frezalia Oliver and Mrs. Joycelyn Samuels of Milledgeville, Ga; two sons-in-law Mr. Roy S. Oliver, Jr. and Mr. Charles Samuels of Milledgeville, Ga; four grandchildren, Roy Oliver III (Min), Clayton Oliver, Tiffany Allbrook (Erik) of Atlanta, Ga; and Charles Samuels III of Milledgeville, Ga and two great grandsons Kyse Allbrook and Trevon Oliver of Atlanta, Ga. She had two sisters-in-laws: Annie Ruth Farley and Elzora Dunn of Eatonton, Ga.
