Services Celebrating the Life of Mrs. Alma Jean Poole of Milledgeville, will be held on Friday, Sept. 20, 2019, at noon at Second Beulah Baptist Church, 3014 Beulah Highway Sparta. Remains will lie in state at 11 a.m. until the service hour. The interment will follow at Hickory Cemetery.

Alma was called home to eternal rest on Wednesday, Sept. 11, 2019. She was a lifelong faithful and devoted member of Second Beulah Baptist Church serving on the hospitality committee. Alma was also a member of Women of LIFT at Mt. Sinai Baptist Church.

She leaves precious memories lingering in the hearts of her devoted spouse of 39 years, Michael Poole; one daughter, Veronica Dessau Adams and spouse Eric of Conyers, Ga.; sister, Delois Beckom; brother, Sammie Lee Dessau and spouse Lizzie; devoted niece, Sharon Beckom Brown and spouse Willie; other nieces, Renae Beckom Parker, Renette Beckom Binns and Ellen Scott; nephews, Jonathan Beckom and spouse, Barbara; David R. Hill and spouse Janice; brother-in-law, James Scott and spouse Mary Jean; one granddaughter, Brayden Adams; devoted friend, Collean Scott; god-daughter, Lora Brown; and a host of other family and friends.
