Milledgeville - Mr. Albert Grady "Al" Cason, Jr., 72, passed away on March 26, 2026. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Thursday, April 2, 2026, at 3 p.m. in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Milledgeville. Inurnment will be private at a later date.

The family will receive friends at Williams Funeral Home on Thursday from 2 p.m. until the service time.

Mr. Cason was born Sept. 27, 1953 in Greensboro to the late Albert Grady Cason Sr. and the late Martha Acree Cason. He grew up enjoying the outdoors and playing every sport, and became an Eagle Scout. He loved football and was a member of the "19 of Greene" ball team. He later attended one year of college in Milledgeville before attending Pharmacy School at the University of Georgia. Even though he had attended UGA, he was a fan of the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets. His love for the outdoors carried into his adult life where he spent time fishing, and feeding his deer and turkeys. He enjoyed working his farm of pecan trees and blueberries. He enjoyed playing softball. He was an avid golfer, and a member of Little Fishing Creek Golf Course. He was a retired pharmacist having worked for Central State Hospital and had once owned Central Liquor in Sandersville. In addition to his parents, Mr. Cason was preceded in death by his sister, Alice Cason Risener, and his beloved pets, Rambo and Sassy.

He is survived by his significant other and partner, Carol Boyer; son, Russ Deen (Amanda); sister, Louise Cason Bentley (Frank); niece, Cason Alicia White; grandchildren, Miles Deen and Grace Deen.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Animal Rescue Foundation; St. Jude Children's Hospital; or to Samaritan's Purse or to the charity of choice.
