Mary Maddox's Story
Mrs. Mary Maddox Law, 82, entered into rest on Monday, February 13, 2017 at Doctor's Hospital.
A Memorial Service will be held at the St. Stephens Episcopal Church, 320 S. Wayne St., Milledgeville, GA, this 4th day of March, 2017 at 2:00 P.M. with the Very Reverend David C. Probst officiating.
Ms. Law was a native of Brewton, GA, had been a resident of the Augusta area since the mid 1980's, and was the daughter of the late Lewis A. Jr, and Elizabeth Brantley Maddox. She had worked as an RN for 41 years, retiring from the Charlie Norwood VA Hospital in Augusta. She was a selfless, loving, and kind person, always thinking of others before herself. Her passions were her family and sewing. She loved to quilt, sew for her children, grow vegetables, and travel to the mountains. She had attended Mann Memorial United Methodist Church in Augusta.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Lewis A. Maddox, III.
Survivors include her sister, Dorothy Collins and husband, Barnie; her daughter, Theresa McTier and husband Carson; her son, Ennis Law and wife Kimberley; her grandchildren, Heather Moody and husband Cory; Chad Smith; Grace and Kathryn Law; and one great grandchild, Kaylee Smith.
In lieu of flowers the family suggests a memorial be made to the charity of one's choice.
