Mrs. Clara "Lonita" Hyde Booth, 74, passed away Sunday, July 23, 2017. Funeral services will be conducted at 2 p.m. Wednesday, July 26, 2017, at Oak Grove Methodist Church. Interment will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Williams Funeral Home of Gordon Tuesday, July 25, 2017 from 6 until 8 p.m.
Mrs. Booth was a native of Macon before making her home in Gordon. She was the daughter of the late Jim Tom and Clara Jeanette Dixon Hyde, and preceded in death by her husband, James "Cecil" Booth; sister, Judy Bryant; and brother, Dewey Hyde. She was a retired hairdresser and a member of Oak Grove Methodist Church.
She is survived by daughters, Dawn (Mark) Higginbotham of Gray, Laura (Dana) Dudley of Ivey, Cecilia (Richie) Chaffin of Macon, and Ginger Booth of Centerville; grandchildren, Amanda (John) Wood of Haddock, Jennifer (Frank) Smallwood of Gordon, Stephanie (Curtis) Holton of Toomsboro, Steven (Michelle) Dudley of Gordon, Jesse Chaffin of Macon, Ashley (Jorge) Paez of Winder, Mark (Sarah) Higginbotham of Haddock, Jake Chaffin of Macon, Brooke Chaffin of Macon, Camryn Moghaddam of Centerville; 11 great grandchildren, one great great grandchild; and sisters, Faye Thompson of Gordon, Pam Hartman of Byron and Donna Arnett of Macon.
