Mrs. Faye Cape, 74, of Vidalia died Friday evening July 21, 2017, at Community Hospice of Vidalia after a brief illness. Mrs. Faye was a native of Milledgeville who moved to Vidalia one year ago. She was a retired librarian; a former member of Victory Baptist Church of Milledgeville and an active member of Mt. Vernon First Baptist Church.
Mrs. Faye was preceded in death by her parents, Hines and Ernestine Tompkins; her brother, Harold Tompkins; her sister, Becky Butts; and her grandson, Mitchell Folsom.
Mrs. Faye is survived by her husband of 56 years, Donnie Cape of Vidalia; her daughters, Bonita Shepherd (Terry) of Rockledge, and Tammy Folsom (Billy) of Vidalia; her brother, Tommy Tompkins (Joan) of Milledgeville; her grandchildren, Nick Bonner (Rebecca) of Haddock, Heather Batchelor (Chris) of Haddock, Matthew Folsom (Tiana) of Milledgeville, Ty Jones-Folsom of Vidalia and Hunter Shepherd (Haven) of Dexter; and nine great-grandchildren.
Funeral services for Mrs. Faye Cape were held Monday, July 24 at 5 p.m. at Victory Baptist Church of Milledgeville with the Rev. Kenny Walker and Rev. Billy Folsom officiating.
Stewart-Rosier Funeral Service Vidalia Chapel was in charge of funeral arrangements.
