Yvonne Wilson Phillips, 65, passed away Friday, July 28, 2017. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Aug. 2, at Lakeside Baptist Church with the Rev. Tim Oliver officiating. Burial will follow at Baldwin Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Phillips was a native of Lumber City but had made her home in the Middle Georgia area. She was a retired administration assistant with the Medical Center of Central Georgia. Mrs. Phillips was preceded in death by her father and mother, Woodrow and Louise Smith Wilson. She was a member of Lakeside Baptist Church where she devoted her time and energy to the church Benevolent Committee.
Survivors include her husband, Ken Phillips of Milledgeville; her daughter, Casey Black (Michael) of McDonough; a brother, William Wilson of Mexico; and her sister, Barbara Guard (Ron) of Wilmington, N.C.; and her grandchildren, Sam Hutto, Madison Black and Gavin Black.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 10 until 11 a.m. at Lakeside Baptist Church.
In lieu of flowers the family requests memorial contributions be made to the Lakeside Baptist Church Benevolent Fund at 1023 Milledgeville Road, Milledgeville, Ga. 31061.
