Family and friends are invited to celebrate the life of Mr. Wilford McKinnly Floyd, 81, of Milledgeville, at services to be conducted Friday, Aug. 2, 2019, at 1 p.m. in the chapel of the Georgia Veterans Memorial Cemetery.
The family will receive friends here at Williams Funeral Home in Milledgeville on Thursday, Aug. 1, 2019, from 5 to 7 p.m.
In lieu of flowers the family requests donations to the Masonic Children's Home of Georgia, 1417 Nottingham Drive, Macon, Ga. 31211, or to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, Tenn., 38105.
Mr. Floyd passed away Monday, July 29, 2019. He was a native of Daleville, Ala., and had made his home in Baldwin County for a number of years. He was a veteran, and had served as a Medic in the U.S. Army. Mr. Floyd was retired from Concord Fabrics as an accountant programmer for 27 years. He was a Mason and member of the Benevolent Lodge # 3 F.& A.M. of Milledgeville, a member and past Worthy Patron of the Order of the Eastern Star Lodge # 272 of Milledgeville, and attended the Assembly of God.
Survivors include his wife, Doris Biermann Floyd of Milledgeville; children, Wilbur Jean Floyd (Laura) of Seattle, Wash., Ralph George Floyd (Tammy) of Milledgeville, and Nancy Dean "Deanie" Waddell (Glenn) of Devereux; six grandchildren, Michael, Alex, Logan, Jessica, Joey and Brooke; and four great grandchildren also survive.
