Mr. Thomas "Tom" Joseph Haley, 80, passed away July 19, 2017. A visitation will be held Saturday, July 22, 2017, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. at Williams Funeral Home in Milledgeville with a memorial service to be held at a later date.
Mr. Haley was born in Minnesota and had lived at Lake Sinclair since 1972. He was the son of the late James William Haley and Julia Margaret Stonich Haley and was preceded in death by a brother, William James Haley; and a grandchild, Morgan Edmonson. Mr. Haley was the owner/broker for Lakeside Realty and had served as chairman of the Putnam County Planning and Zoning for a number of years. He enjoyed working, his grandhchilden, and spending time fishing. He was of the Catholic faith.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Betty Haley of Lake Sinclair; sons, Greg Haley (Shannon) of Milledgeville, and Alan Haley (Ginger) of Milledgeville; daughter, Jodi Ashurst (Brad) of Greensboro; grandchildren, Josh Stamps, Jessie Ashurst, Jordan Ashurst, Ty Ashurst, Scotlan Ashurst, Dustin Brown, Amber Brown and Lily Edmonson; sisters-in-law, Jo Haley of Lake City, Fla., and Aurelia Hugley (Jerry) of Dahlonega; brother-in-law, Cullen Jones III of Ellenwood; and a number of nieces and nephews.
