Mrs. Shirley Dixon Wall, 81, passed away on Tuesday, Jan. 9, 2018. A Celebration of Life will be held at noon on Friday, Jan. 12, 2018 in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home of Milledgeville with the Rev. Larry Glover officiating.
The family will receive friends at the funeral home from 11 a.m. until the service hour.
Mrs. Wall was a native and lifelong resident of Milledgeville. She was the daughter of the late Burden Roy and Ruby Bryant Dixon and preceded in death by her husband, John M. Wall, Sr.; son, Johnny Wall; sister, Joyce Gordon; and brother, Roy Dixon. She volunteered at the GA War Veterans Home and with River of Life, and was a member of the American Legion and Hopewell United Methodist Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Nell (Larry) Hendricks, of Milledgeville; grandchildren, Talisha (Chad) Alligood of Washington, J.T. (April) Wall of Milledgeville, and Jason (Melissa) Hendricks of Griffin, Ashton (Casey) Greene of Lawrenceville, Matt Greene of Atlanta, Lacey Greene of Athens; great-grandchildren, Asa Wall, Aiden Wall, Gavin Hendricks, Alexis Fales, and Jason Fales, Lawson and Reagan Greene; daughter-in-law, Jana Wall of Milledgeville; brothers, Jerry Dixon of Milledgeville, Carolyn Scarborough of Macon, and Frances (Gerald) Reeves of Milledgeville; and several nieces and nephews.
Flowers accepted and for those who wish, expressions of sympathy may be made to River of Life or the American Legion.
