Sarah Tollison's Story
Mrs. Sarah Lee Tollison Batchelor, 82, passed away, Monday, Sept. 4, 2017. Funeral services will be conducted, 11 a.m. Thursday, Sept. 7, 2017, in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home. Interment will follow in the Baldwin Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at Williams Funeral Home of Milledgeville, Wednesday evening from 6 until 8.
Mrs. Batchelor was the daughter of the late John Tollison and the late Dovie Nolan Tollison; and was the widow of the late Ernest "Bud" Batchelor. She was a native of Baldwin County and lived most of her life in Hancock County. She worked for 18 Years at McGaw Labs and retired from the Baldwin County School System as a paraprofessional. She was a member of the Beulah Baptist Church.
She is survived her daughters, Eugenia (George) Rives of Milledgeville; Debra Garrett of Florida; and sons, Earnest "Duck" (Mitiz) Batchelor of Sparta; Dennis Batchelor of Gray; brothers, Robert (Rhonda) Tollison of Milledgeville; Harold Tollison of Perry. She was predeceased, in addition to her husband and parents, by sisters, Mary Daniels, Lois Youngblood, Frances Garland; brothers, Marion Tollison, Junior Roy Tollison, Perry Tollison, Roy Tollison, Jerry Tollison and James Bell. A special thanks to her caregiver, Ruthie Wilcox, and the neighbors and friends that made her last days special!
