Sandra Bledsoe's Story
Sandra Bledsoe Chavers, 75, passed away Tuesday, Dec. 26, 2017. Services will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 30, at the chapel of Moores Funeral Home with Pastor John Livingston. Burial will follow at Baldwin Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Chavers was a native of Bibb County but had made her home in Milledgeville for over 50 years. She was a homemaker and was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond L. Bledsoe and Lillie Mae Dykes Bledsoe; husband, Alton Earl Chavers; her son, John Raymond Howell; a sister, Mae Dean McCoy and a brother, Dennis Bledsoe; two grandchildren, Clarence Earl Chavers, Jr. and Louis Peter Nicholas Mazzola. She was the granddaughter of the late Johnny Tomberlin of Mystic, GA.
Survivors include her daughter, Darlene Wilson of Milledgeville; a son, Earl Chavers of Gauthier, MS; her sister, Brenda Smith of Lizella; her companion, John Thomas Tomberlin of Mystic, GA; 10 grandchildren and 17 great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 1 until 2 p.m. at Moores Funeral Home.
