Mr. Roy Gaston Medlin, 85, passed away Friday, June 2, 2017. Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday at 2 pm in Freedom Church. Interment will follow in Medlin Family Cemetery. The family will receive friends at Williams Funeral Home Monday from 6 until 8 pm. Mr. Medlin was a lifelong resident of Baldwin County, he served in the United States Army during the Korean War and worked at McGaw Laboratories. Mr. Medlin was a member of Freedom Church. Mr. Medlin is preceded in death by his parents, Homer Gaston Medlin, Harriett Elizabeth Posey Medlin, sons, Roy Jr., Andy Medlin, a daughter, Wanda Smith, sister, Roz Lyle, and brother, Edmond Medlin. He is survived by daughters, Sue (Tommy) Kitchens of Milledgeville, Bonnie (Eddie) Ketcham of Ohio; sisters, Dot Davis of Milledgeville, Leone (Billy) Smith of Alabama; grandchildren, Amy (Sam) Flury, Jay (Angie) Smith, Matt (Nona) Ketcham, Jessica Ketcham, Shane (Kristy) Johnson, Michelle (Jonathan) Brookins, Roy Shannon (Tina) Smith, Heather (Scott) Hudson, Shelby Medlin, Wyatt Medlin, and Dalton "Bubba" Medlin, a son in law, John W. Smith, III, a daughter in law, Sandy Medlin, a stepson, James McDuffie, a stepdaughter, Patricia McDuffie, twenty three great grandchildren and two great great grand children. He is also survived by the mother of his children, Jennie S. Medlin and a host of nieces and nephews.
