Ronald Lee Alford, 53, of Ivey, passed away Tuesday, Oct. 2, 2018. Mr. Alford was born Feb. 14, 1965, in Milledgeville, to the late Mr. Tom Alford and the late Mrs. Hazel West Alford Granade. Along with his parents, he was also preceded in death by a daughter, Casie Lynn Adams, and by a brother, Johnny Alford. Ronald had lived in Gray for several years, but had lived in Ivey for the last 20 years. He had been a supervisor with Mid State Steel, and attended Snow Hill Congregational Church. Mr. Alford was a veteran, having served in the U.S. Marine Corps. Ronald is survived by: his wife, Elaine Alford of Ivey; his son, Tyler Adams of Ft. Drum, N.Y.; stepdaughters, Cheryl Herrington of Atlanta and Christy Lynn Adams of Ivey; stepson, Jeremy Beckworth of Baxley; wister, Debra (Roger) Hinkle of Ivey; brother, Donnie (Judy) Alford of Allentown; foster brothers, Donald (Catherine) Long of Gray, and Tim (Angela) Long of Lizella; sister-in-law and brother-in-law, Darlene (Keith) Miller of Eatonton; brother-in-law, Bobby Davis of Eatonton; and 14 grandchildren. Funeral services for Ronald Lee Alford will be conducted Saturday, Oct. 6, 2018, at 3 p.m. in Snow Hill Congregational Church with Archie Sealy and Pastor Christopher Collins officiating. Interment will follow in Snow Hill Cemetery. The family will receive friends on Saturday, Oct. 6, 2018, from 1 until 3 p.m. at Snow Hill Church.
