Robert  Lavender


Robert Donald Lavender, 82, passed away Thursday, July 18, 2019. Services will be held at 3 p.m., July 21, at the chapel of Moores Funeral Home with Rev. Eddie Braswell and Dr. Bill Neely officiating. Burial will follow at Baldwin Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Lavender was born in Wilkinson County but made his home in Milledgeville. He worked for Freeport Kaolin for a number of years before starting Lavender Construction in 1969. He also owned and operated By-Pass Storage, which opened 1994. He was preceded in death by his parents, Donald Lewis and Mable Hawthorne Lavender.
Survivors include his wife, Anne Toulson Lavender; two sons, Greg Lavender (Julie) and Shawn Lavender (Muffin); a daughter, Donna L. Folendore (Tommy) all of Milledgeville; a step-daughter, Pam Gerald (Phil) of Columbia, S.C., a sister, Patty McCullars of Macon; 10 grandchildren, Logan, Will, Whit, Ethan, Brant, Brice, Hunter, Hayden, Andy and Lauren; three great grandchildren, Mason, Harper and Brayden.
The family will receive friends Sunday from 1:30 until 3 p.m. at Moores Funeral Home.
