Rick S.'s Story
Funeral services for Mr. Rick S. Davis age 68 will be conducted Wednesday at 2 pm in Williams Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Phil Winsett officiating.
The family will receive friends Tuesday evening from 5 until 7 in Williams Funeral home and on Wednesday from 1 pm until the service hour.
Mr. Davis was a native of Atlanta and had made his home in Milledgeville for most of his life. He was the son of the late J.R.Davis, Jr and Etheleen Ladd Davis and was predeceased by a sister Peggy Davis.
Mr. Davis was retired from the Putnam County Board of Education, he was a para-pro and Special Education Teacher. He loved children and used his God given talent of teaching to touch the lives of those he taught everyday. He had a heart of gold and would do anything for others. He was a member of the Oconee River Buskers Square Dancers and held a Masters Degree and a Seminary Degree. He was a Gideon, a member and Deacon of Mosleyville Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Leslie Hellenga Davis of Milledgeville; daughter and son in law Leah Davis Gomez and Will Gomez; grandsons, Greyson Sloan Gomez and Nathan Donovan Gomez; a brother Raymond Martin "Bud" Davis and wife Sharon of Auburn, GA.
