Mildred Ruth Cox Teague, 83, passed away on Dec. 27, 2017. Visitation will be Saturday, Dec. 30, at 2 p.m. at Williams Funeral Home. The memorial service will be held at 3 p.m. with the Rev. Harry Micheals officiating.
Mildred was born in Hamilton, OH to parents Elias Cox and Minnie Frances Settle Cox on Sept. 13, 1934. She graduated from Hamilton High School in Hamilton, OH.
She married Burl Teague on July 14, 1956 in Hamilton, OH and they had three childrentwins, Steven and Michelle and two years later, Tammy. While her children were young, Mildred was a scout leader and involved in multiple groups at their church.
She attended Oxford University, New Miami, OH. She worked for several years as an executive secretary at Wright Patterson Air Force Base, Dayton, OH. She retired in 2001 from Central State Hospital where she was employed as a medical transcriptionist.
She is preceded in death by her father Elias Cox and mother Minnie Cox, her sister Phyllis Conerly, father-in-law Silas Teague and mother-in-law Ruby Ellen Leach Teague.
Mildred is survived by her children's father, Burl Teague; son, Steve Teague (Tangye Teague); daughter, Michelle Brown (Ken Brown), and daughter, Tammy Correa (Errol Correa); sisters, Margie Robinson and Virginia Moore; grandchildren, Jessica Castillo (Ryan Castillo), Caleb Teague, Caitlin Correa, Juliana Correa, Anna Brown, and Clay Brown.
Memorials may be given to the Crisis Prevention Center in Milledgeville or to the Wounded Warriors Program. The family wishes to extend our sincere thanks to Athens Regional Hospital, PGH, and Lynn Haven Nursing Home doctors, nurses, and staff for their loving kindness and care.
