Mrs. Mary Evelyn Brown entered into eternal rest on Nov. 19, 2017 at the Navicent Health in Macon, GA. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, Nov. 25, 2017 at 11 a.m. from the Mt. Hope CME Church in Milledgeville, GA. Interment will follow in the church cemetery. Mrs. Brown was born March 10, 1930 in Baldwin County to the parentage of Mr. Henry Stubbs and Mrs. Gussie Tatum Stubbs. She was preceded in death by her parents, one daughter, Gwendolyn Stubbs and husband, Tommie Brown.She worked in private homes, Gallie Davis Elementary School Cafeteria and Central State Hospital Staff Dorm retiring on June 1, 1990. She joined Mt. Hope CME Church at an early age. She worked as a class leader, president of the Missionary Stewardess Board and treasure of Mt. Hope CME Choir. She also joined the mass choir in Macon, GA and became Mother of the Church in 2015.She is survived by three daughters, Mrs. Betty (Ezell) Adams Jr, Ms. Dolores Waller, and Mrs. Pamela McClin all of Milledgeville, GA. Two sons, Mr. Jeffery Stubbs and Mr. Tommy Stubbs both of Milledgeville, GA. Three Aunts, Ms. Earlene Tatum, Ms. Eva Jackson, and Ms. Willor Dean Norwood. Two sister-In-laws, Ms. Mary Hogan and Ms. Ruby Zachary both of Milledgeville, GA. Devoted friends, Ms. Gloria Phelps and Ms. Mary Harris both of Milledgeville, GA. Devoted granddaughter, Ms. Terrie Rogers, Devoted niece, Ms. Geraldine Phelps. Seven grandchildren, eight great-grandchildren and a host of other relatives and friends.
