Funeral services for Mr. Lawrence David "Larry" Greth, 80, were conducted Monday at 11 a.m. in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Milledgeville. Burial will follow in Baldwin Memorial Gardens.
A visitation was held at Williams Funeral Home Sunday from 5 to 7 p.m.
Mr. Greth was born in Reading, Pa. and had lived in Milledgeville since 1973. Mr. Greth was the son of the late Phares and Margaret Knockstead Greth and was preceded in death by his son, Myron Greth; and a wife, Lucile Shurling Greth. He was a retired chief petty officer from the United States Navy and had worked for the U.S. Post Office.
Survivors include his wife, Mary Mohalley Greth of Milledgeville; daughter, Catherine G. Thompson (Ralph) of Milledgeville; brother, Thomas Greth (Linda) of Florida; grandchildren, Ashley Kight (David) of Milledgeville, and Chad Krassowski of Savannah; stepchildren, Albert Turnell of Atlanta, and Victoria Turnell of Milledgeville; sister-in-law, Madeline Cook; and daughter-in-law, Betty Greth of Milledgeville.
