Joyce Janes's Story
Mrs. Joyce Janes Weaver, 91, of Milledgeville, passed away Wednesday, Feb. 21. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. Saturday, Feb. 24, at the chapel of Moores Funeral Home with The Rev. Curtis Warnock, nephew, officiating. Interment will follow at Baldwin Memorial Gardens.
Mrs. Weaver, a native of Milledgeville, was a member of First Baptist Church. She was a retired occupational therapist at Central State Hospital and a member of the Order of the Eastern Star, where she served as Worthy Matron with her husband serving as Worthy Patron.
Mrs. Weaver was preceded in death by her husband of 66 years, Marshall N. Weaver; her sons, E. Neal Weaver and M. Wayne Weaver; her parents, George and Dora Janes; her brothers Jack, Bill and infant brother, John Larry; and her sisters Sue Miller, Betty Branan, Wilma Warnock, Vivian Smith, Ethlyn Wood and Carolyn Robinson.
She is survived by her son Jack (Lynne) Weaver of Tuscumbia, Alabama, daughter, Marsha Jones of Auburn, Alabama, her brother Richard Janes (Harlene) of Milledgeville, her daughters-in-law, Cheryl Weaver and Paulette Weaver of Milledgeville, 10 grandchildren, 12 great- grandchildren and four great-great-grandchildren.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 1-2 p.m. at Moores Funeral Home.
