Funeral services for Mr. Joe Babb will be conducted Tuesday, February 14, 2017 at 2 pm In Williams Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Ralph Story officiating. Interment will follow in Baldwin Memorial Gardens.
The family will receive friends at Williams Funeral Home in Milledgeville on Tuesday from 1 o'clock until the funeral hour.
Mr. Babb passed away on Saturday, February 11, 2017. He was born in Wilkinson County to the late Clifford Babb and Nancy Bentley Babb. He was a founding member of the CB Radio Club, later the Civil Defense, not the Baldwin Fire Rescue. He was retired from Central State Hospital and was a member of Pathfinders and Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church. Mr. Babb was an avid gardener and a Veteran of the United States Navy.
Survivors include his daughters, Jan Donovan (Gene) of Milledgeville, Carole Babb of Milledgeville, Jay Babb Smith (Sam) of Guyton; sons, Sam Babb (Melanie) of Rome, Mike Babb (Annie) of Eatonton, David Babb (Carol) of Milledgeville, Curtis Babb (Jean) of Milledgeville; sister, Rose Woodall of Milledgeville; 18 Grandchildren and 25 Great Grandchildren.
Flowers will be accepted and for those who wish memorial contributions may be made to Mt. Pleasant Baptist Church Building Fund.
