Jimmy Eugene "Bubba"'s Story
Jimmy Eugene "Bubba" Spear, 83, passed away Wednesday, Jan. 3, 2018. Services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Jan. 6, at the chapel of Moores Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Baldwin Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Spear was a native and resident of Milledgeville. He worked with the Youth Development Center retiring with 34 years of service. He also owned and operated the Milledgeville Music Store. He was preceded in death by his parents, Jimmie LaFayette and Mabel Carolyn Knowles Spear; sister, Mary Ann Sturdivant; two brothers, Bobby Jordon Spear and Ricky Morris Spear. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving in Germany.
Survivors include three sisters, Gail Smith (Bill) and Vera Bales (Lonnie) both of Milledgeville and Jennett Florian (Fran) of Marietta; sisters-in-law, Mona Spear and Margie Spear of Milledgeville, a number of nieces and nephews also survive. A special thank you to Jonathan Steele for her special care.
The family will receive friends Saturday from 12:30 until 1 p.m. at Moores Funeral Home.
Flowers are accepted, but friends who wish may make memorial contribution to Chaplinwood Activity Fund.
