Mr. Jim Britt King, 66, passed away Sept. 24, 2017. Services will be held Friday, Sept. 29, 2017, at 3 p.m. in the chapel of Williams Funeral Home in Milledgeville, with the Rev. Nelson Goddard officiating. The family will greet friends Thursday from 5 until 7 p.m. and again Friday from 2 until 3 p.m.
Mr. King was a native of Lithonia and had lived at Lake Sinclair since 2009. He was a veteran of the United States Army, serving two tours in Vietnam. He was retired from the DeKalb County Public Works. He was of the Methodist faith.
Mr. King was preceded in death by his parents, Harold Harrison King Sr. and Dorothy Britt King. He is survived by his wife, Gail Goddard King of Lake Sinclair; daughters, Tara (Greg) Mahan of Devereux, Crystal (Shane) Pritchett of Conyers, Dottie Minskoff of Demorest; sister, Jane Rickett of Loganville; brothers, Hal King Jr. of Lithonia, Chris King of Texas. He is also survived by grandchildren, Laine Pritchett, Shelby Pritchett, Will Mahan, Matt Mahan, Lilly Minskoff, Joe Minskoff and Jack Minskoff. He is also survived by a special companion, "Little Bit."
The family will accept flowers or donations to the Shiners Hospital for Cripple Children.
