James Roy's Story
James Roy Adams, Sr. passed away Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at the age of 87. Services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, December 29, in the chapel of Moores Funeral Home with Rev. Ken Danuser and Rev. Jason Danuser officiating. Burial will follow at West View Cemetery.
Mr. Adams was born and lived his entire life in Milledgeville, Georgia. He was one of five children. Mr. Roy owned and operated Adams Service Station from 1958 to 1973. He then worked at Youth Development Center until he retired at the 60. He was preceded in death by his wife of 64 years, Helen Walker Adams. He was a member of Northside Baptist Church.
Survivors include his daughter Kaye (Ken) Danuser, son Jimmy (Katy) Adams, grandchildren Jason (Stephanie) Danuser, Greg (Nancy) Danuser, Justin Adams and Jordan Adams, great-grandsons Wesley and Luke Danuser and numerous nephews and nieces.
The family will receive friends Thursday from 1:00 until 2:00 p.m. at Moores Funeral Home.
