Mr. Harrold Queen,77, passed away on Friday, Sept. 1, 2017. A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, Sept. 6 at 11 a.m. at Lake Country Baptist Church in Eatonton, with Dr. Carlisle Driggers officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in Griffin.
The family will receive friends from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, Sept. 5 at Williams Funeral Home in Milledgeville.
Mr. Queen was retired from the United States Military, serving tours in Vietnam and Korea. He was a native of Blairsville, and lived in Jonesboro before moving to Lake Sinclair in 1995. Mr. Queen is preceded in death by his father, Garnett Queen; mother, Sara Bell (McElreath) Queen; daughter, DeAnne Kerri Queen; brother, Eugene Queen.
Mr. Queen is survived by his wife, Carole Poteat Queen of Eatonton; daughter, Debbie Karen Queen (Tim) Chapman of Locust Grove; son, Terry Keith Queen of Jonesboro; brother, Henry Queen of Griffin; four granddaughters- Jessica Austin, Ashley McCue, Natalie Chapman and Bonnie Queen; three great-grandchildren- Derek Austin, Autumn McCue and Charlotte McCue.
Flowers are accepted and for those who wish, expressions of sympathy may be made to the Lake Country Baptist Church Building Fund, 1259 Crooked Creek Rd. Eatonton GA., 31024.
