Uncle George, I believe he wrote the book on how to be a southern gentleman. I've always admired the gentle, kind hearted way he carried himself and always had something positive to say. We absolutely loved our trips down south to vacation with your family, such good times and long lasting memories!

Loved his childhood stories and whenever he would say "Holy Mackerel!"

God bless you Susie and Linda and your families!
Love, David Garrett

I will always have fond memories of Uncle George including his southern hospitality, story telling, and childhood visits. We spent fun family moments in Myrtle Beach, Fontana, and Charlotte. I feel blessed to have know him and his spirit and kindness continue on through Linda and Susie. God bless the Garrett family and it’s legacy.

Mr. Garrett, he was like a second dad to me during my teenage and early years. Susie and I were best friends. I spent many nights in the Garrett’s home, as well as vacation places with them. George and Hope picked me up and took me to church on Sundays as well. They sponsored me for my confirmation. They were an important part of my wedding. They supported me and inspired my spiritual, physical, and emotional growth. My love for Susie and her family is deeply a part of my heart. This man led the lives of an incredible family, and I feel so honored to have been a small part of that!! Heaven’s new angel makes the stars (and rainbows) oh, so much brighter! 💗🌟🌈
