Frank Eugene's Story
Frank Eugene Massengale, 89, of Highway 243, passed away Monday in Macon.
Services will be held Thursday, Sept. 7, 2017, at 11 a.m. in Gordon First Baptist Church. Burial will be in the Ivey Baptist Church Cemetery. The Rev. Maxie Threatt and thre Rev. Paul Curry will officiate.
Mr. Massengale was born in Wilkinson County, the son of the late William Joseph and Emmie Winters Massengale. He was preceded in death by his sons, Michael F. Massengale and Anthony "Tony" F. Massengale; his great-grandson, Nickolas Massengale; his sisters, Grace O'Quinn, Willie Jewel Andrews and Louise Dennard. Frank was a retired car salesman for more than 70 years with Penn Chevrolet, Bacon Chevrolet and Childre Chevrolet. He was a veteran of the Korean War serving in the U.S. Army. He was a member of the American Legion and a member of the Gordon First Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Joyce Williams Massengale; his son, Tim (Stella) Massengale; grandsons, Jason (Tara) Massengale and Josh (Ashley) Massengale; great grandchildren, Kaylyn Tabor, Jadon Massengale, Tristan Massengale, Gabe Massengale, Eli Massengale and Jonah Massengale.
The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday in the funeral home.
