Thomas Frank "Bubba" Brantley of Milledgeville went home to be with the Lord, Sunday, Sept. 24, 2017. He was 80 years old. Funeral services will be held Thursday at 11 a.m. in Pleasant Plains Primitive Baptist Church. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends at Williams Funeral Home in Milledgeville Wednesday from 6 to 8 p.m.
He was preceded in death by his son, Kenneth Mark Brantley; mother, Sarah Fowler Brantley; father, Othor Jackson Brantley; brother, Jake Brantley; three sisters and one brother.
Survivors include his wife of 45 years, Ernestine Collins Brantley of Milledgeville; daughter, Christa Boush (Joel) of Milledgeville; sister, Becky Martin (John) of Milledgeville; brother, Randy Brantley of Milledgeville; two stepsons, Stan Rich (Mary Ann) of Albuquerque, New Mexico, and Willis Rich (Linda) of Clovis, New Mexico; seven grandchildren, and two great-grandchildren, and a number of uncles, aunts, nieces, nephews and cousins.
He was a member of Pleasant Plains Primitive Baptist Church in Wilkinson County. He served in the U.S. Army and the National Guard. He retired from Central State Hospital in '99 after 24 years of services. His hobbies included camping, NASCAR, wood working, and traveling in his R.V.
