Bobby Eugene's Story
Bobby Eugene Parham age 75, passed away Monday, February 6, 2017. Services will be held at 2PM Wednesday, February 8, at Northside Baptist Church with Dr. Jerry Pickard officiating. Burial will follow at Baldwin Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Parham was a Distinguished Military Graduate of Georgia Military College and was a 1963 graduate of The University of Georgia School of Pharmacy. After graduation, he opened Medical Arts Pharmacy in Milledgeville. In 1969 he was elected to the Baldwin County Commission and served in this capacity until 1974, the year he served as chairman. In 1975 he was elected to the Georgia House of Representatives where he served until 2009. During these years he served on the Health and Ecology, Banks and Banking, Rules, Appropriations and Motor Vehicles Committees. He served as the co-chairman of the Health and Ecology Committee and chairman of the Motor Vehicles Committee from 1991 to 2001. He served as a founder and board member of First National Bank of Milledgeville from 1990 until 2008. He was a trustee and member of Georgia College and State University and served on the Suntrust Bank Advisory Board in 2008. After his retirement from the House of Representatives he served on the Georgia Department of Transportation Board. He was preceded in death by his parents Robert Lee Parham and Sarah Cook Parham and his son Robbie Parham and was a member of Northside Baptist Church.
Survivors include his wife Juanita N. Parham of Milledgeville, two daughters, Alisa P. Dennis (Jack) and Audra P. Butler (Jody) of Milledgeville, sisters, Betty Wooten of Eatonton and Faye Smith of Milledgeville, 5 grandchildren, Shelby Butler and Sydney Butler, Chelsey Parham, Callie Dennis and Jackson Dennis.
The family will receive friends Wednesday from 1 until 2PM at Northside Baptist Church.
