Our beloved Arlene F. Rice fell asleep in death on Feb. 28, 2018.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, March 10, 2018, at 1 p.m. in the Kingdom Hall of Jehovah's Witnesses with Brother Hoyt Hester officiating.
Ms. Arlene Rice was born to the parentage of the late Richard Freeman and the late Mary Walker. She lived here in Milledgeville all her life.
Arlene dedicated her life to Jehovah on Aug. 24, 1964, as one of Jehovah's Witnesses. She served faithfully and her journey has now ended.
During her lifetime she worked for Georgia College, at Central State in the laundry department, and as a grandparent at J.F. Boddie High School. She was preceded in death by her husband Emanuel Rice Sr., son Emanuel Rice Jr., and daughter Carol Hester.
She is survived by: four sons, Milton L. Rice of Milledgeville, Alfonzo (Shirley) Rice of Boston, Mass., Albert (Verdell) Rice, and Julian Rice of Milledgeville; two daughters, Marjorie D. Martino of Philadelphia, Pa., Bettie Rice and friend Glenda Fitzhugh of Milledgeville; 24 grandchildren; one brother, George A. Freeman (Kate), and one sister, Clara Davis of Milledgeville; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends.
