Annette Mixon's Story
The death of Mrs. Annette Mixon Bloodworth, 81 occurred Sunday, Jan. 28, 2018. Funeral services will be held Wednesday Jan. 31, at 11 a.m. at the chapel of Couey-Reece-Stanley Funeral Home in Gordon with the Rev. Bill Harpe officiating. Burial will follow in Snow Hill Cemetery in Gordon.
Mrs. Bloodworth was a native of Bibb County but made her home in Wilkinson County for many years. She was a school bus driver for Gordon-Ivey school and the Wilkinson County Board of Education for over 30 years. She was an active member of New Hope Christian Fellowship having taught Sunday School, Vacation Bible School and Acteens. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harris and Viva Tindall Mixon, her brother, Gene Mixon, and her husband, Fred Bloodworth.
Survivors include one daughter, Gail Granade (Ronnie) of Gordon; two sons, Tony Bloodworth (Diane) of Forsyth, and Reid Bloodworth (Angie) of McIntyre; seven grandchildren, Kasey McInnis, Brian Bloodworth, Steven Bloodworth, Chris Granade, Brad Bloodworth, Garrett Scarborough and Gavin Bloodworth; five great grandchildren, Brinley McInnis, Austin Bloodworth, Brody Granade, Colter McInnis and Hutson Granade also survive.
The family will be at Couey-Reece-Stanley Funeral Home Tuesday from 5 to 7 p.m. for friends to call.
